About BCBA Coaching

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a nationally credentialed professional trained in the science of behavior — specifically, what drives it, what maintains it, and how to change it.

As a parent coach, a BCBA doesn't just offer opinions or general advice. They use evidence-based, data-driven strategies to help you understand why your child behaves the way they do — and exactly what to do about it in practical, real-life terms.

Think of it as expert-level guidance without the jargon, delivered in a way that actually fits your family's life.

Parent coaching is action-oriented and forward-focused. Every session ends with a concrete written plan — specific strategies you can start using the same day.

Therapy explores emotional history, processes past experiences, and treats mental health conditions. Coaching is different: it's about building practical skills, changing patterns, and creating systems that work for your family right now.

Important: Parent coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions in you or your child. If a clinical concern emerges, we'll always let you know and can help point you toward the right resources.

14 years of hands-on experience working with children and families — across a wide range of ages, challenges, and family dynamics. Over 1,000 families supported.

The BCBA credential is issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and requires a graduate degree, supervised clinical hours, and a rigorous national exam. It's maintained through ongoing continuing education.

Beyond credentials: this work is deeply personal. Every strategy recommended is one that's been tested in real homes, with real families, not just theory.

Sessions & Format

All sessions are conducted virtually via video or phone call — which means you can access support from the comfort of your own home, on a schedule that works around your family's life.

Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person, and often more convenient. No commute, no childcare needed, no rushing. Just dedicated time to focus on your family.

We start by checking in on what's been happening since we last spoke — what's working, what isn't, and what you're facing right now.

From there, we dig into the specific challenge you want to focus on. You'll get a clear explanation of what's driving the behavior, followed by concrete strategies tailored to your child's age and temperament.

Every session ends with a written action plan — not vague suggestions, but specific steps you can take before we meet again. You'll never leave wondering "okay, but what do I actually do?"

That completely depends on your family's needs and goals. Some families resolve a specific challenge in 2–3 sessions. Others prefer ongoing support as their child grows and new stages bring new challenges.

There's no mandatory package or minimum commitment. You set the pace. We'll always be upfront with you about what we think would be most helpful and why — and you stay in control of the plan.

Not necessarily. Most coaching sessions are parent-focused — we work with you directly to build the skills and strategies that create change at home.

In some situations, it can be helpful to briefly observe your child during a session, especially if you want to walk through a specific scenario together. We'll talk through what makes sense based on your goals.

Pricing & Booking

Yes, completely free. The intro call is a chance for us to get to know each other, hear what's going on in your family, and figure out whether working together makes sense.

There's no pressure, no pitch, and no commitment required. If we're not the right fit, we'll be honest about that too and point you in a direction that makes sense.

Transparent pricing is available directly inside the booking scheduler. We believe you should be able to see what sessions cost before committing to anything.

Paid sessions require a card to reserve your spot, but you won't be charged until after we meet. If for any reason a session doesn't go as expected, we'll always make it right.

At this time, sessions are private pay. This allows us to keep sessions fully flexible — no insurance approvals, no restrictions on what we work on, and no cap on the number of sessions.

Challenges We Address

Families with children ages 0 through 14 — from newborns through pre-teens. Each stage comes with its own set of challenges, and the strategies are always tailored to your child's specific age and developmental stage.

A wide range — including sleep issues and bedtime resistance, picky eating and feeding concerns, tantrums and emotional meltdowns, strong-willed or defiant behavior, potty training, school-related concerns, separation anxiety, screen time battles, and navigating the pre-teen push for independence.

If you're not sure whether your challenge fits, just bring it to the intro call. The answer is almost always yes.

Absolutely. The Parent's Village serves all families — no diagnosis required, no referral needed. Most families who reach out simply have a child who is challenging to parent, and that's more than enough reason to get support.

Every child behaves in ways that are hard sometimes. That doesn't mean something is wrong — it means parenting is hard and you deserve guidance.

This is very common — and very workable. Both partners are welcome to join sessions, and we often find that getting everyone on the same page is one of the biggest accelerators of progress.

The goal isn't to make you both parent identically — it's to help you build a consistent enough foundation that your child knows what to expect, regardless of who's in the room.
